can't edit templates in evo 1.02 using internet explorer. >>SOLVED

I was pulling my hear out dealing with QM / manager in IE. I was not able to edit templates using ie8 or ie7 in compatabilty mode. This was on a fresh install. It appeared to be a conflict with quick manager. When I had the site open in front end on one tab of browser and have manager open in another tab it hung when I clicked save inside the manager especially when I edited templates. I updated following the directions to qm 1.341 I have the following configuration settings chosen:

Load jQuery in manager: true
Load jQuery in front-end: false
jQuery noConflict mode in front-end: true
Load modal box in front-end: true

And voila it now works. I didn’t do anything special it is just that I didn’t see this solution in the forums( I probably missed it anyway) so I figured I’d post it so someone else can save time / frustration.
