Document Saving Issues - MODx 1.0.2

I get an odd result sometimes when saving documents in the manager. I’ve tried several different ways to recreate it, but it seems totally random. I will save a document and the entire manager reloads inside that one frame. The manager is doubled up. Like I said, it doesn’t happen all the time, but it’s very frustrating when it does happen mostly because I haven’t been able to reproduce it on command. I’m not sure how this could be random, but that’s the way it seems. Has anyone else had this problem?

Not sure the server, php, mysql, or apache matter because it’s happened on several different servers of mine regardless of the versions they’re running. Any thoughts?

EDIT: It seems for the moment at least that using Safari is part of the issue. After switching to FF I haven’t experienced the issue yet, but I will update if I do.

I also have this issue, also seemingly randomly. it occurs occasionally on saving a document or just navigating the main menu.

Also, sometime when saving elements sometimes the system just refreshes the same page and just shows the edit page again.

Another oddity is that occasionally on saving a snippet it shows me an "Erm are you supposed to be here?" message so all my editing is lost.

These issues certainly do not happen all the time but it occurs on my local XAMPP installation (1.7.2) and also on my development server (Apache PHP 5.2.3).

I can imagine the clients response once the site goes live. They’ll want me to reinstate 0.9.6.3 instead and what a nightmare that would be.

Just out of curiosity, are you using ManagerManager? I have noticed a few odd things from time to time with it.

I’m not actually, but it’s enabled. So I’ve disabled it and I’ll see what happens! Will keep you posted

It’s been a few days now and the weirdness still persists even with ManagerManager disabled.

I still have not seen a reprieve from the issue, with or without ManagerManager. At least I can take solace in the fact that I’m fairly unique when it comes to using Safari.

I have a server with collation utf8_general_ci
when I had language set to swedish instead of swedish_utf8
I experienced weird behaviours. E.g. if I saved a template it would
break on & (if I remember right) and not save it all.

Choosing the right lang files fixed it... Maybe related to this thread!?

That certainly is a possibilty but this issue here occurs very intermittently whereas I’m guessing your problem happened constantly?
