File manager replacement

I was wondering whether you guys have seen this: http://ecoder.gmeditor.com/ - maybe something to replace the MODx file manager? - looks pretty nice, doesn’t it? what would it take to integrate it into MODx?

If the point is only using the text area editor (in this case the EditArea), it could be done by creating an invoke action as a NEW event to the file reader, let’s say OnFileManagerFormRender or *Prerender.
This case is a direct hack to the core file (/manager/actions/files.dynamic.php, line 572 onwards), adding like a mutate_file.dinamic.php, add the manager’s action list about this, and so on.
