re-skinning my sites and looking for a nice way to do a "news & announcements". currently i’m doing this:

which puts 1 to 3 "thrashbox" callouts, floated to the right of the page (if a title and body are provided). the tvs referenced are just normal rich-text inputs. i’m open to other methods as well, such as using ditto, that way i could better control how long and in what order stuff is listed under news and announcements.
anyhow... got a cool method or know of a good example? whether it’s the back-end that controls it, or just a cool way of visually displaying it, so that it’s highly visible, but not obtrusive - i’d love to see.
