I’m new to modx and know nothing of php, so please bear with my utter ignorance. I started with Evo 1.0. have installed it, but have yet to create a site. An update notice alerted me to an upgrade. So, what do I have to do to actually upgrade to the latest version?
Any danger of giving any instructions on the upgrade process or are unfamiliar users simply expected to work it out by guesswork?
Sorry for the slight irritated tone, but as a newbie to modx I find the lack of clear and ’joined up’ documentation to be a real disincentive. Makes EE’s fractured offerings look positively good. I know modx is free, but I am more than happy to pay for software if I feel it’s worth it. My feelings at the moment are that modx is still only for those who have a very good grasp of php and are happy digging around in its entrails. Alas, I am not one of those.
