I am using evo 1.0.4 for this particular project and have seen this issue in revo 2.0.4 (i think that’s the ver.). It caches my css files as well as resources and no doubt javascript files, (although this is not tested). Is there a way to make those non-cachable? because I have to do so many steps when making small changes. I saw how to make resources non-cachable by default but not sure if that includes assets.
Is there a way to turn caching off completely for dev reasons?
Ok, what I did to get around this may be obvious but I wanted to tell my solution to this for others.
You can actually use resources as javascripts and css files. So I just copy&pasted the file contents to a new resource that had a blank template ( Just [content] ) and in settings, made it uncachable. Although this may be unnecessary. It works. Oh yes and set the doc type to text/css or text/javascript accordingly. That’s important!
This for several reasons is better than using a flat file in assets which I wont go into but it’s easier to edit them as well.
Also make sure that in setting for "Interfaces and Features" for "Show Editor" is set to off, otherwise it will add fluff and unnecessary HTML tags to your scripts and CSS.
Hope this helps someone.
