Auto update feature like Wordpress?

Are there any plans either in the latest update editions of MODx Evo or Rev to include and auto update feature like Wordpress can?

It just seems like a logical inclusion for such a great CMS!

There will definitely be a direct update feature available for Revolution; in fact I plan to implement this as a Core Extension to MODx Revolution so that custom direct update processes can be used interchangeably, and can be installed directly from the Package Management page in the Manager. It’s likely an initial general purpose direct update extension will be available shortly after a 2.0.0 final release, hopefully in time for a 2.0.1 bug fix release.

Thanks for the heads up, but will this also feature in the Evolution code base since I much prefer Evolution
over Revolution?

Not likely anytime soon.
