Tried to install WP, Need to get back to Modx

Hi all,

I tried to install wordpress on my site, but want to go back to Modx. The existing database is all there, but how do I get the URL to see it again?

I need ASAP help, since nothing is on my site right now!!

There’s probably a better way to do this, but here one approach:

If you’re only missing some files from your MODx install, simply download MODx again and run the install as an upgrade.

If you deleted MODx files and folders, you will first need to to backup your MODx database, download the latest release and run a new install. This means that you will override your old database. Once install completed, you can import the backup sql file into your MODx database and it should bring your old data back.
This is a very risky approach and I advise your do it carefully.

If you left everything in place from your MODx install you may get away with renaming the current (Wordpress) index.php file to wp-index.php and upload an index.php file from a MODx installation/zip
