document tree contextual menu issue

Since the upgrade to 1.0.3 I’m having issues with the document tree’s contextual menu. The menu appears upon clicking the document icons but none of the functions actually work. For instance, to delete a document I must first open the document and delete from the main document menu.

Anyone else experiencing a similar problem?

I’m using Firefox 3.6.3 on Mac. Haven’t checked in other browsers yet.

FF 3.6.3 on Mac, works fine. Could be a corrupted upload? Try uploading the Manager files again.

Did you log out of the manager before doing the upgrade? I’ve had some odd things happen when upgrading while I was still logged in to the old manager. Try logging out, then clearing your browser cache and cookies.

I’m fairly sure I was logged out of the manager during the upgrade. I’ll replace the manager files and see how that works. Thus far I’ve noticed another small glitch as well (when editing a document, the "Edit Resource" and document menu are partially cut off beneath the iframe). It could all be related to a corrupted install as you suggested. I’ve since checked in Safari and same problem occurs.

I’m having the same issue, I have reinstalled 3 times completely deleting the database and all. The menu seems to always be hidden under the top section. This only seems to effect my 1.03 installations. I’ve attached a screenshot in case it will help.

For lack of a solution as well as a couple other bugs noted in the forums I’ve kept client sites at 1.0.2. Hopefully these issues will be ironed out in subsequent releases. Just glad I test new releases before I upgrade client sites. Always a good idea.

If I come across a solution I’ll be sure to post.

Mine works as usual as well, that is when I can get to the contextual menu. Since I upgraded to Firefox 3.6.3 I get the Windows context menu first. If I right click on a resource icon i can select copy image and it disappears and then I can select the MODx resource context menu, but for now it shows up behind the Windows context menu.

This is true of previous versions of MODx as well so perhaps there has been a change in the JavaScript of FF 3.6.3.

Same here, but I always just left-click on the icon to get the context menu anyway, so I wasn’t aware of the problem until I read this topic.
