manger role problem

Hi all
i had to create a Manager Role (Marketing) for the Modules Section. Now I have the Problem that when the User with the role Marketing logs in, he see’s the Modules that he is allowed to edit twice in the Modules Tab.
Any Idea how I could solve this?

I can’t replicate this problem, bbeer (I’m in Evo 1.0.5).
I created a role with just Module permissions, and logging into that role, I only see modules listed once across the top nav, and only listed once in the Manage Modules grid.
Can you provide any additional information?

in Modules > edit Modules I checked the Permission check box for the two roles Admin and Marketing. This may be the Problem. The thing is that Marketing is not supposed to be able to edit all the Modules, only two of them.

OK just unchecked the admin user and there it is, only one link and not two of them and the superuser is still able to edit the unchecked module anyway.

A nicer solution would be that only modules with the proper permission would be visible instead of this javascript error message.

Maybe I’m wrong but shouldn’t it be done with User Groups instead of Roles? Then when editing module you can select user groups that will have access to edited module. I would create two groups "Manager Admins" and "Manager Marketing", add users to desired groups and specify in module which groups have access to it.
