Upgrading 1.0.2 to 1.0.4, Manager keeps logging out when opening the web-page

My live-server is acting up,
I know that there is a doc some where in the http://rtfm.modx.com about this, but it’s also having problem in the [r]ight [t]he [f]****** [m]oment.
(You should consider to have a mirror doc somewhere, guys)

It’s not the javascript.
I just tested this against a blank template page.
So it must be a server config.

Does anyhone have any idea what problem is?

Do you mean that the manager is no longer logged in if you go back to the manager, or only that the manager user is not logged in when viewing front-end pages? Usually this happens if your manager is at domain.com and the front-end is www.domain.com (or vice-verse).

Have you cleared your browser cache and cookies?

OK, just tried that.
Cleaned everything with ccleaner.
No luck.

Perhaps any mod_[stuff] which I should aware of?

The wiki is back up. There are lingering issues with memory management and Java that crash the SSO app we’re using, Crowd, which in turn causes issues with Confluence.<sarcasm>Java is SO fun.</sarcasm>

Sorry for the inconvenience. This is a key priority to get stabilized.

Now you mention it I think I’ve seen the same thing. Whilst developing a site every now and again it has logged me out of the manager but I never made any link to any actions. I’ll have to test it later to see if it’s related to the preview page.

I resolved this problem by using the php.ini

memory_limit = 128M
session.save_path = /home/[....]/public_html/tmp

the tmp/ folder was created manually, and applied 0777 permission.
