I have a big problem with a site I’m working on. The problem is that I cannot get AjaxSearch to return any results at all.
I’m using MODx 1.0.4 and AjaxSearch 1.0.4 which came pre-installed as a snippet in the 1.0.4 package.
The code I’m using to generate the search form is:
[!AjaxSearch? &ajaxSearch=`0` &landingPage=`33`!]
The code I’m using on the results page (pageid = 33) is:
[!AjaxSearch? &ajaxSearch=`0` &showResults=`1` &showInputForm=`0`!]
The results page shows no results, but when I view the source, there is an empty DIV in the source code, as follows:
<div class="AS_ajax_resultsIntroFailure">
</div>
I presume there’s supposed to be an error message in that div, but there’s nothing.
Can anyone tell me why this isn’t working? As I mentioned above, the AjaxSearch snippet came pre-installed with 1.0.4, but when you go and look at the Extras page on the MODx website, it says that the snippet is only compatible up to 1.0.3
Is that the root of the problem - an incompatibility issue?
Please help if you can, I need to get this site live for my client.
