I am installing Modx through the GoDaddy applications page. It does not install plugins (apparently) and I was wondering if anyone could help me with installing TinyMCE. I’ve seen the instructions for running the install folder but since I am doing this through GoDaddy and not from my server... I am unsure how to get this working... Can anyone help? Or should I be doing a manual install either way?
My preference: I never use canned installs. IMO, they stink, because 99% of the time they don’t give me the options I need, and this case is a beautiful example. Why Godummy would leave that out is a mystery; it almost seems like it would be more work to take it out. Maybe there’s some ownership beef with Tiny.
I’m embarrassed to admit it, but I end up developing sites on Godummy often because my clients’ clients tend to buy it (it’s cheap). Using FTP, I have half a chance of it working right. I will concede that Godummy’s database interface is pretty damn bad, but I’m used to it now.
