FCKEditor Resource Brtowser Does Not Display Files

Hi,

I recently upgraded from MODX 0.9.6.3 to 1.0.4 and I am having an issue with the resource browser when creating or modifying a link.

I can see the folders in the resource browser, but no files. This seems to happen only for general files though, if I switch to Images, I can see the files.

I have checked the Files manager to make sure the path is correct, and also checked the paths in interface and functions, and everything seems OK (the subfolders are there, just not the files). I have checked the CHMOD of the files, they are correct at 0755.

The missing files are PDF and DOC formats, which are authorized in File Manager. I have no problem uploading or modifying files in Resources->File Manager,

This seems to only affect the Files display, because if I switch to Images, I can the files in the Folder.

Any suggestions on how to fix the problem?

Make sure that the valid file types specified in the File Manager tab include what you need. While the path in that tab applies only to the File Manager and have no effect on the Editor’s resource browser (that gets set in the Interface and Features tab), the valid file types for both are only specified in the File Manager tab.

You also may need to check the setting for the individual manager user, in their User tab. Sometimes when upgrading these settings get mixed up a bit.

Thanks for the suggestions. I checked the types allowed, and all file types appear there. I checked in the users options also and all the options are correct. Still nothing in the resource browser.

Any other ideas?

Not really. I had something similar once, and after rummaging through Firebug for each successive window that gets opened I found a bad URL being passed, but that was in a custom install of the resource browser for a form field. I guess I would just do the same thing, and try to pinpoint where the problem is using Firebug.

maybe i am stucked with a similar problem, but only as editor, not as administrator.

no files visible for this user, and no upload allowed (error "disallowed file type"), but possible to create folders.

if soemone has a solution for my problem, maybe it also solves this one!

In Evo 1.05 looks like this issue is NOT solved.
additional manager users wich are not full admin have strictly NOTHING checked by default in the user tab so they dont inherit the mods default config for files type, size and so on.

Really a trap, especially when training you customer redactors like I did this afternoon. I was like an dude...
