Lock Resource

Hello,

is somebody know hot to lock some resource include it’s parent where only admin (user role ID 1) can only edit it.

because i want to use resource for CSS and the other script.
and i didn’t want my user edit it even see it.

Use the Security system.

1. Go to Security -> Manager Permissions. Create a User Group ("admin"). Create a resource group ("locked"). Link them in the third tab. ("admin -> locked").

2. Go to Security -> Manager Users. Edit your "admin" user and any other user that you want to be able to edit those documents and add him to the group. You don’t really need to add admin #1 since he’ll be able to edit anything anyway, but it doesn’t hurt anything.

3. Edit the resource(s) in question and assign them to the "locked" resource group. They won’t even show up on the resource tree for non-group members (unless you change the setting in the site Configuration to Show Protected Pages -> Yes).

You can also create a Role ("editors") and go through the check boxes to determine what you want your editor user to be able to do in the Manager, then go and assign your editor users to that role.
