Evolution Manager Interface Error 500

Hi Everyone,

Sorry to bug you all for what is probably a really stupid issue. I’m relatively new to MODx, so I’m not really sure how to resolve the issue I’m having. First, I’m running Evolution 1.0.5, php version 5.2.9, mysql 5.0.92-community, cpanel 11.30.2 [build 1], pdo_mysql is installed, using Safari 5.1 and Firefox 5.0.1 browsers. Ok, here’s my problem, I’ve been trying to login into my manager interface to finish working on a site I’m developing for a client and I’m getting the following error 500 in the top and side bars for the manager interface [see screenshot attached]. As such, I cannot do any editing until I can see those areas. Does anyone know how I can fix that?

For those of you interested in how it was resolved. I actually didn’t do anything to fix the problem, for some reason it resolved itself after I reloaded the page at least a dozen or so times.

sounds like a cache problem... have you checked you cache directory and the elements inside is writable ?

Quick question, what should the cache folder and contents be set to? My folder is 755 and the elements inside are 644, is that the correct setting? Because I’m having the same exact problem.

That should be correct.
