Problem with internal links and Friendly URLs [SOLVED]

I’m redesigning a site that is currently running in MODx 1.0.2. The development site is running 1.0.5. I duplicated the site and ran the update install before starting my work on the dev server.

The problem I’m having is that links are not formatting properly to the root. They are all setting up as relative links. Once I get 1 level down, the links stop working properly, for example:

http://dev.hhiconcours.com/events/registration.html has a link created in the resource editor to [~23~]
which should take the user to http://dev.hhiconcours.com/events/concours-delegance/2011-registration-form.html
instead it is going to
http://dev.hhiconours.com/events/events/concours-delegance/2011-registration-form.html

So it’s clear the url is NOT being parsed properly, I just don’t know why.

Any ideas?

I just visited the page you linked to and all your internal links seem to be working fine. Can you point out perhaps with a screenshot what link is not working?

The navigational links work fine. It’s when I create a link on resource content (using Tiny MCE and the link list or simply manually entering the [~id~]) that I’m getting problems.

On the page I mentioned http://dev.hhiconcours.com/events/registration.html, click on the "Motoring Midway" link in the content and see what happens.

NOTE: ON TPL files and other links, I’ve had to add [(base_url)] to the href, which is something I’ve never had to do before.

I checked all the links in that page. When I click on Motoring Midway link it takes me to http://dev.hhiconcours.com/events/concours-delegance/2011-registration-form.html. Try clearing your site and browser cache.

On another note, with FURLs, Make sure you have <base href="[(site_url)]> in the <head> section of your template

Thanks, einsteinsboi! That did it. I’d been using [(base_url)] in my <base href=. Between clearing my caches and changing the page head, it’s all working.
