Manager not showing template variables?

I upgraded an older install (version with the green admin interface), and now none of my template variables associated with a template are showing up on the resources assigned to that template. The information is still in the database, show all of the right content is showing up on the live site, just not editable in the manager.

I’m reuploading the manager directory...but just in case that doesn’t work, does anyone have any other ideas of what is going on?

Also, TinyMCE isn’t showing up either, it just shows the HTML in the document content.

Could you list the plugins that are active in the site, and let us know which version of MODx you upgraded from?

OK, I re-uploaded the Manager folder and it’s still not working :\ Not really sure what to do at this point except wipe everything clean and try a fresh install.

Possible that you might be using an old set of Manager Manager rules? If you have MM enabled, try disabling it to see what happens.

I don’t have ManagerManager installed.

The old version was .0.9.6.3

Do the plug-ins need to be upgraded manually? Could that be the issue?

In the settings, it seems like everything is fine until it gets to the TinyMCE, and then it hangs up:

Is there a way I can reinstall just TinyMCE and see if that works?

OK, this is resolved.

Not sure how or why, but the whole TinyMCE folder in assets/plugins was not there, so obviously it wasn’t showing up and causing the layout to break.

Hopefully this might help someone else who is having this same problem.

When I have trouble with uploading, it’s usually the TinyMCE plugin that causes the most problems. It seems the more fiddly little files that are getting uploaded in quick succession the more likely a failure is. There have been times I’ve had to upload everything except the Tiny plugin, then upload that directory by directory. I haven’t had a problem like that for a couple of years, though, one of the updates to my FTP client seems to have solved the issue.
