    Hi guys,

After recently attempting to duplicate a working site from site.com → stage.site.com we found that any changes in the Manager we affecting the original site, despite updating the connection strings in the new copy, and accessing the correct URL.

Has anyone come across this behaviour/bug?

    • Double-check the manager/includes/config.inc.php file; make sure the settings in the database access lines are correct for the new database.

Especially if the two installations are on the same server, it’s always a good idea to have the two use different database names and logins.

Hey Susan - this was definitely my intention, and one of the first things I did, but that did trigger a thought: perhaps config.inc.php wasn’t writeable and my FTP client wasn’t throwing an error on save?

For what it’s worth, the access info in config.inc.php is correct now, and stage vs. live seem to be behaving as expected.

        Thanks for your help.
