CSS colors not showing in IE but do in FF

Ok what is irritating me is that Firefox shows my comment as green. Which is what I want I had set it to do this, but when I view it in IE it shows it a blank comment its all white right there. How could I go about fixing this?

FF and IE show it as white for me.

find .jot-comment {padding: 3px;} in your css and give it a background color.
