I recently had some problems with a website running MODX. While solving that with another PHP-guru (problem was a weird one, doesn’t matter for here) he found out that MODX uses many many database connections that aren’t necessary. He mentioned it’s due to the coding technique the MODX developers use and is common for many systems.

I’m not a coder but anyway, is it possible to do that in a better way for upcoming versions of MODX? Or is there an argument for doing it that way?
Thanks for your mentions on this topic. smiley

    cheers,
