    Hiya,

Not sure if anyone has been playing with 2.2 from Git yet, but I’m having trouble getting it running.

Followed the instructions from http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Git+Installation, changed the details in a new build.config.php and build.properties.php. Ran the transport.core.php file from the browser, all good.

Proceeded with the installation which didn’t give any errors, minus being unable of checking the "Core package has been manually unpacked" checkbox - it was grayed out. Did check the other one. But like I said - didn’t throw any errors in the process.

So after installation I try to login which works, but then when trying to load the welcome window loading takes ages and when it finally loaded it just shows the plain text and menu items, as well as the plain widgets from the dashboard. See attachment.

So trying again with firebug tells me that MODx and Ext is not defined, and the net tab shows that the two requests to the minifier at manager/min/ were aborted.. wasn’t me!

Has anyone had this issue, and perhaps even managed to solve it? Would love to check it out and perhaps even contribute a thing or two.

This is all on a localhost. WAMP with PHP 5.3.4 and as I run MODX 2.0.8-2.1.1 on it I’m pretty sure it’s got all the right extensions and requirements, unless something changed for 2.2. Attached the phpinfo if that is any help.

I get the feeling it has something to do with being unable of checking the checkbox during install though I have no idea how to fix that...

Just cloned, built, setup, and login... I can verify the same as Mark is experiencing.

I have re-done everything from scratch and I stopped on install screen to specially check the options, but one of the options is disabled: http://screencast.com/t/nlIX4tH3

Maybe installer needs to be updated for the new "on the fly" minifying?

Thanks for checking this out Zi! Somewhat glad this aint me goofing up again :-P

For the record, I’ve also tried renaming the ht.access in the min dir to .htaccess but that didn’t change anything either.

            Do you have mod_deflate setup?

I didn’t, but enabling it ("deflate_module" in WAMP) doesn’t change anything either.

If this on the fly minifying depends on certain modules that MODX previously didn’t need, that’s something that would need to be addressed during setup and toggle-able.

Attached the entire phpinfo in my first post (click), but to sum up:
                  - PHP 5.3.4
                  - MySQL Client API version mysqlnd 5.0.7-dev - 091210 - $Revision: 304625 $
                  - PDO support enabled; PDO drivers mysql, sqlite;
                  - pdo_mysql PDO Driver for MySQL enabled; Client API version mysqlnd 5.0.7-dev - 091210 - $Revision: 304625 $

This is a local installation running WampServer 2.1 and I have multiple installations from 2.0.8 to 2.1.2 running perfect.

Distro.. Git, develop branch. Can’t remember seeing any screens on moving the manager and stuff, so I guess that’s standard distro then.
