Got an interesting question. I am making a page in modx with a table in it. Before the table, the text is all in the right place, with a margin between the left sidebar and text. This is default, just with <p> or using one of my custom styles.

But after the table the margin is gone and the text is right up against the sidebar. Looks terrible!!

Must be a bug? I have looked for the answer in the code and see nothing helpful.

I am going to fix it by putting a margin in the <p style=...>. But.

    Any suggestions? tongue

First, validate your code here (if you haven’t already): http://validator.w3.org/. The problem may go away once you’ve got valid code.

If not, use FireBug to examine the page to see where the margins of each element are coming from in the CSS.

Ok thanks BobRay I will look into it. I know my code may have some problems. Just thought this might be a bug.

It’s definitely not a bug in MODx, though. MODx just sends the HTML and CSS you create out to the browser (after replacing any MODx tags in it and removing any raw PHP code). It never alters the page layout, HTML, or CSS in any way.

Yeah, I have a bunch of nagging small errors in the code. Hard to figure out. So this problem is of my own making wink

For now, I am just adding margin into these lines. That may be the best fix I can handle right now.

Thanks for the help, its really appreciated grin

            Thanks Bob!
