    OK, a few more screenshots, we’ve got a welcome screen and an integrated lightweight graphical FTP client, also I’ve attached a transport package for folks who want to have a look at this now. The Revolution tab mentioned on the welcome screen doesn’t exist yet, this is coming next. I’ve decided not to integrate PHPIDS, this is not really a site maintenance utility, more a site security utility, maybe for a security 3PC?

      OK, released to extras as 1.1-beta, all working except the Events tabs. I’d rather release this now and get feedback from users than delay it for this functionality, this is probably the hardest bit and will almost certainly change as we go through releases.

        Looks great! smiley

        BTW, someone asked for search and replace for document content, which might be a nice feature for Janitor.

        I can’t help including some code to show how slick xPDO would make doing a global search and replace in the content field of all published documents:

        <?php
        $resources = $modx->getCollection('modResource', array('published'=>'1'));

        foreach ($resources as $resource) {

           $c = $resource->get('content');
           $c = str_replace($search, $replace, $c, $count);
           if ($count) {
               $resource->save();
           }
        }

        Doing this in Evolution is left as an exercise for the reader. wink

          Thanks BobRay, nice snippet but I think this is more suited to batcher or a docmanager type component than Janitor.

            Good point, though I don’t think we’ll see it there any time soon and I know how fast you work. wink

              Yeah, just trying to keep a component in scope is as hard as coding it sometimes!.

              There is a DocManager for Revo, I ported it from Evo some time back, its in the old components SVN repo, just needs a dusting off and sprucing up to work in Revo as it is now, shouldn’t take long. The reason I’ve not looked at this is because I assumed batcher would be the way to go here for the future, I could have a quick look next week and post the transport here if you want a look at it. <<Edit>> Just quickly looking at my SVN repo for this it goes back to March 2009 last upadre

                I remember trying it (DocManager), but just having it installed caused some serious problems for me. Some of those may have gone away now that Revo is more robust, though.

                  I’ve installed batcher and had a quick look at it, does what DocManager does but its a lot slicker with the grid and the menus’s, possibly the only thing is document ranges, with DocManager you could change a range of documents, say 100..200 at once, not sure how you’d do this with batcher but there’s plenty of room on its page for extra panels, so it shouldn’t be a problem to do this. I’ll raise an issue in GItHub.

                    Batcher is quite nice. The Revolution site search is also very spiffy and it might be possible to add regex and a really powerful "replace" to it.

                      Bogdan’s DocFinder would be a great tab for Janitor. As would a link checker ... primarily looking for links to internal unpublished or deleted docs with a later iteration checking external links.
