Wayfinder in revo

I am upgrading from evo to revo and have come across a problem with wayfinder. I did all the necessary changes to TVs etc so that the code is compliant with revo - but not joy. It worked fine in evo before, so I am a bit bemused.

Any help would be appreciated. Here’s the code....

[[Wayfinder?  &startId=`0` &level=`3` &parentClass=`hide` &parentRowTpl=`menu_parentRow` &innerTpl=`menu_inner` &rowTpl=`menu_row`]]

Hello

First of all, try to call WayFinder UNCACHED ! Put an exclamation mark at the beginning of the call, just after the first two brackets like this

[[!Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`3` &parentClass=`hide` &parentRowTpl=`menu_parentRow` &innerTpl=`menu_inner` &rowTpl=`menu_row`]]

This works fine in in evo but not in Revo!!... Why does is work on evo and and not on Revo huh

I’m pulling my hair out here!

This is the error I’m getting...

XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location: http://mysite.com/menu.xml
Line Number 1, Column 25:<ul><FILE><NAME><![CDATA]]><LINK>
                         ------------------------^

Any ideas anyone? I’m really stuck here. Thanks

Is it something to do with CDATA that revo doesn’t render properly??

OK phew, found the solution and posting it here for future generations. grin

Revo uses a function that wraps the CDATA tag automatically so instead of doing this

<FILE><NAME><![CDATA[[+wf.title+]]]><LINK>[+wf.link+]</LINK></NAME> </FILE>

do this..

<FILE><NAME>[[+wf.title:cdata]]<LINK>[[+wf.link]]</LINK></NAME> </FILE>
