    Hi

I am facing problems with the revo rc1 install on my webspace.

    All the checks are ok.

When I hit the final install button the following error is displayed:

Warning: PDO::prepare() [function.PDO-prepare]: SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table ’usr_web108_8.modx_access_actions’ doesn’t exist in /var/www/web108/html/revo/core/xpdo/xpdo.class.php on line 1727

Fatal error: Call to a member function execute() on a non-object in /var/www/web108/html/revo/core/xpdo/om/mysql/xpdomanager.class.php on line 135

    PHP version is: 5.2.8
    MySql version is: 5.0.32

I tried to install with Firefox 3.5.8 and Safari 4

Attached is the last check window:

Thanks for your help in advance

    Amy

Never seen anything like that tbh; could it be when you uploaded the files, some did not transfer correctly?

I downloaded the rc1.zip again. (The normal, not the advanced)

        I extracted them using 7.zip

and put them all in a new folder on my webspace.

        Same error again. sad

Seems I am attracting errors that have never been seen before.

Don’t feel too special, several others are reporting the same issue. We’re trying to identify the issue, but so far it is elusive and only seems to happen in specific environments. However, those environments are ranging throughout the entire 5.2.x series, so I suspect this is going to be either platform specific (can you provide more details about your webspace) or a bug in a particular combination of PHP extensions related to PDO and MySQL. Any additional information you can provide would be appreciated so we can better diagnose this issue.

            Hi OpenGeek

I attached my php info as a pdf file.

(I changed the adress in the pdf to www . my-domain. com)

            Hope that helps.

Locally I am browsing on windows XP-Pro.

Database is new and empty, collation is utf8_general_ci.

If you need more info please tell me what exactly.

Thanks a lot for all your work

            Amy

Is this not the same issue as this thread http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,47445.0.html
Use MODx, or the cat gets it!

Yep, I was confused as Amy19 reported a PHP version of 5.2.8, but according to the phpinfo attached it is indeed an unsupportable 5.2.0-8+etch16 release.

                  Oh, sorry I confused that.

                  I thought its 5.2.8

Now I would of course like to ask my provider if an upgrade is possible.

I just remember vaguely that I had a problem with PHP 5.3 and Evolution, can`t remember though what it was, maybe a snippet?

Do you have a hint for me which PHP Version I should ask for to run both revo and evo without problems?

                  Thanks Amy

Evolution 1.0.2 should, for the most part, run fine on PHP 5.3. The Evolution 1.0.3 release (coming soon) applies a minor update to PHP 5.3 compatibility.

Also, Revolution runs fine on PHP 5.3. It’s what I run on my local dev environment and I have no issues whatsoever.

The only thing that we can’t guarantee is if all third-party components are PHP 5.3 friendly (with regards to E_DEPRECATED functions).

                      I asked my provider yesterday

He can only offer me PHP 5.2.8, because debian stable doesn`t offer any higher pakets.

Is this ok? Should I go for it?

                      Any advise?
