Seems there are no packages to download for the latest bleeding-edge-release at this time?
Can I download and install them from extras, which are for beta5?

There are definitely packages to download - I can view quite a few right now. A few questions:

      - Do you have cURL or sockets installed on your server?
      - Are you using IE8?

But yes, you can download them and install them manually, by uploading the transport zips to core/packages. You wont get the auto-update feature, but you get the idea.

No problem. There is a warning regarding this during setup. I’ve also added a note to the official docs.

i made a new install of the revolution revision 6622 from svn

and now there are only a few packages maybe 3-4 including templates in the package management

before (always with the modx rev from svn) there was a lot of packages on the same environment

This is because we have updated SVN development to version RC2; we’ll update the packages in the repository this week so they are marked as compatible with RC2 and they will then show up. In the meantime, you can do it the old fashioned way; download the transport zip file, put it in your packages directory, and then use the package manager to search for local packages and install it.

That’s /core/packages/ if you’re having trouble finding it.
