    Hi everyone,
I’m trying to install packages using the package manger and have the default repo as provider.
when I click on the add packages nothing happens and my error log get this:
looks like the path under DirectoryIterator is messed up with the domain.
anyone knows where it comes from and how to fix it?

     [2009-12-20 22:29:13] (ERROR @ /var/www/vhosts/accesscontrolmasters.com/httpdocs/core/model/modx/processors/browser/directory/getlist.php : 34) PHP warning: DirectoryIterator::__construct(/var/www/vhosts/accesscontrolmasters.com/httpdocs/http://www.accesscontrolmasters.com/assets/) [<a href='directoryiterator.--construct'>directoryiterator.--construct</a>]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory

      /var/www/vhosts/accesscontrolmasters.com/httpdocs/http://www.accesscontrolmasters.com/assets/

It looks to me to be a configuration error: the URL is following the local path

so tried a reinstall with another zip and now I don’t have the error in the log but nothing happens when I click the "add new package" button.
if I click the "Download Extras" i get a popup error Provider not found with ID [[+id]]
it also won’t recognize packages I have downloaded to core/packages/
anyway to troubleshoot it? any other log i might check if the modx error log is empty?

          A few things:

          1. Can you check to make sure there is a row for modxcms.com in the modx_transport_providers table?
          2. If so, can you make sure the ID is 1?

it also won’t recognize packages I have downloaded to core/packages/
          3. Are you running Add New Package -> Scan for Local ?
          4. Are they valid packages? (packagename.transport.zip)
          5. Are the packages built with a beta5 or later install?

I have a row, with the url http://modxcms.com/assets/provider.js however the id was 2. I changed it to 1 but it didn’t help my problem.

Nothing happens when I click the Add New Package so I don’t see the ’scan for local’ I thought it’ll pull them automagically into the table below.

they are valid and AFAIK should work in beta 5.
            wayfinder-2.1.1-beta4.transport.zip
            getresources-1.0.0-beta3.transport.zip

Yeah, that URL is wrong; not sure why when you upgraded to beta5 it didnt update this field. That URL should be:

              http://rest.modxcms.com/extras/

yeah I tried that too with no luck. there is some mixup in the docs i think.

The Official Provider has been changed as of MODx Revolution 2.0.0 Beta-5:
                http://modxcms.com/assets/provider.js

and here http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/revolution/Providers lists the correct url but the href is http://modxcms.com/assets/provider.js
