I have created three simple snippets for the express use of allowing me to easily show snippets, snippet calls, and chunks in a page, feel free to use these as you will.
http://www.shawnwilkerson.com/code/modx_revolution/modx_snippets/snippet_shownSnippetCall.html will take snippet calls and translate them to straight text. This should also work on chunks, and TVs, but has not been tested in those applications. It is overly simplified but it works.
http://www.shawnwilkerson.com/code/modx_revolution/modx_snippets/showSnippet_snippet.html will display the contents of a snippet without processing it.
http://www.shawnwilkerson.com/code/modx_revolution/modx_snippets/showChunk_snippet.html will display the contents of a chunk without processing it.
Theoretically, I could easily combine these, but my motive is to give new developers straight forward code to get their hands wet with Revolution.

I hope these are beneficial, as we have discussed before, we (developers) need to start building examples and tools for others to follow in our footsteps (as well as us in each others).
