    Hi all,
I am starting this new "Revolution" adventure (so far I used 0.9.6). Since there is no template available (or I didn’t find it), I do not know exactly how templates should be in modx revo.

In particular, I am wondering where should I place images and css files. In 0.9.6 we had an assets/templates directory, isn’t there any preferred directory in revo? Or I just put images and css whatever I want? Or it is better to put images whatever I want and use a resource as css file?

    Thanks.

Yep, no difference from Evo, you can put external files wherever you prefer.

Yes, but... I mean: are there any "preferred" directories, or "adviced" directories... where do you think you will put the files for the coming-soon templates of revo?

I put them in "assets/templates/" directory. Not sure if there are any good practises.

assets/templates/templatename/ is a fine "preferred" location, but let’s not forget that MODx allows you to convert just about any design to a MODx template in minutes, using the existing external resource (.js, .css, etc.) locations, or by consolidating them to a "standard" location. I don’t want to enforce this location as an official core standard; I’d rather get the community to define such standards only out of necessity, so the core remains flexible enough to stay in tune with emerging web standards. I imagine those who invest time in developing and packaging templates for Revolution should be the ones to dictate how their contributions are organized and used.
