    I’m working on a component which will present blog entries within a grid, and a portal layout so that i can put tv’s on the left of the RTE for the editing page.

    Building a basic grid which list entries for a document container has been fairly easy following the way Shaun did it with Quip.

    The components is in a early stage and i have some questions about organizing the layout:

      [li]How can i hide the Accordion Menu on the right? I tried to look at the error page as an exemple but the code does work as it is
    setTimeout("Ext.getCmp('modx-layout').removeAccordion();",1000);

    • Is it possible to add an Extjs plugin within MODExt?
      I would like to use the grid RowActions plugin to allow buttons quick edit in the grid
      Done smiley

      I’m getting back this topic up because i didn’t find a way yet to hide the modx accordion on a Custom Manager Page and i have more questions for the dev team.

      As i said in this topic, i have done a basic integration of Google Analytics API within Revolution’s backend.

      See attached the package to play with it if anybody wants to.

      There are three parameters for now to inform on setup:

      • The email adress attached to the Google Analytics page
      • The password of the eamil adress
      • The Google Analytics id (not the one with UA in it - see picture below)

      Which bring us to my question’s:

      • How can i hide the accordion on the side, or not load it on a Manager Page? smiley
        I would like to use the left side to put an ext menu in place of the accordion (not reserved to this component)
      • Setting the password field was simple for the setup window, but the password appear clear on the system settings page.
        Can you give me an hint on how to use the parameter (inputType:password) of ExtJs on a manager page?
        Or maybe a launch a window to set it up?
        Or maybe a dedicated menu instead of putting it on the manager page?
        What’s the best way?

      Don’t hesitate to comment on the script also if there are any mistakes on the approach on on the coding.

        Lossendae,

        Great job! Thanks for dev’ing some new stuff for Revo. smiley

        The code in Revo to hide the leftbar is:
        Ext.getCmp('modx-layout').hideLeftbar();

        But I recommend encapsulating it in a setTimeout call, b/c this ensures that call happens after the leftbar is loaded:

        setTimeout("Ext.getCmp('modx-layout').hideLeftbar();",1000);

        Thanks!

              No, this thread is specifically about MODx Revolution, which has a completely rewritten codebase. It’s not possible to approach this the same way in Evolution releases.
