Ditto will be available in Revo; it just needs some attention to get all of its crazy features working. My intention with getResources is to show that you don’t need all of those features built-in with Revo since PHx-style filtering is available and the parser now allows proper parsing of content from the pages you are summarizing. What will need to be dealt with is the legacy reliance on $modx->documentIdentifier/resourceIdentifier within snippets; this is problematic when parsing resources other than the current one. IOW, a new best practice in Revo is to maintain an internal resource identifier (rather than using $modx->resourceIdentifier) that can handle the logic properly when being executed on another resource.

This is still in progress; I was going to wait and release getResources along with this library, but it was taking me longer to get some of this library done that I expected. For that reason, I chose to create a version without the library dependency that folks can take a look at now rather than later.
