I mean, if I decide upgrade to MODx Revolution right now (when first beta version has been just released), which add-ons can I expect to work properly??

Can I install all kind of "old" add-ons on this new version of MODx?

For a "real" website, is it still better to stay at MODx 0.9.6.3, or to move to Revolution?

Is there already a full multi-language support in this version?

    Thank you in advance.

Many of the old add-ins won’t work in Revo without some modification (though some do).

I think multi-language capability is at least on a par with 0.9.6, though I haven’t used it.

Add-ons are being added daily so it’s hard to give an accurate list.

Already there: Wayfinder, BreadCrumbs, FirstChildRedirect, UltimateParent, MemberCheck, DocManager, and Quip.

Coming soon: Captcha, SPForm, EZfaq, WebLogin (I think).

Not there yet: Planned replacement for Ditto, MaxiGallery, eForm, ManagerManager.

It’s a Beta version (and so are many of the add-ons) so I wouldn’t install it on a client’s site or any mission-critical site yet. OTOH, it’s been stable for a while and is running modxcms.com and several of my sites right now with no trouble. You’d need to make sure the add-ons you needed are there before jumping in with a live site, though.

I should also mention that converting several of my sites from 0.9.6 to Revolution was fairly painless for me even with a number of custom snippets. It’s certainly easier than porting a non-MODx site to MODx.
