Thanks, I already knew this page but the references to resource groups are poor. I found
http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/revolution/Creating+a+Template+Variable
My question is... Supose a site where we has some sections, two of them are "Calendar" and "News"
For calendar, we need a TV called "Date", to assing a date to the event published under this section.
For news, we need a TV "yes/no", for example, to select if we want to show this new in the frontpage or not.
Now, with 0.9.6.3, the TVs are assigned to a template, and are shown in all the pages under our tree structure ( editing content ). With revo, I understand that using Group Resources, we can, not only assign a TV to a template, but assinging access permissions too. That means ( in the idea in my mind ) that if I assign access permissions and group resources correctly, when editing/creating content, if the resource isassigned to "calendar" I will see only the date TV, and in "news" I will only see the yes/no TV. Is this correct? Because it doesn’t work for me.
