Hi I have been playing around with revo for a couple of months now on and off, one question I have is, is it possible to change what a user sees in the manager.

EG I want a user to be able to add/edit/delete pages but not do anything with snippets or chunks and so would like to be able to hide these from view.

Also when they are creating pages I would like to hide fields like publish on and summery, as these are not needed and would only confuse.

I know this is doable in 9.x via manager manager, but this is a multi domain site so I want to use the context system of revo to host it.

Is this possible and if so how.

The initial release (beta at least), though the code and structures are in place to support it, will not provide Access Permission control for User Group Access to Menus in the admin, which is how you would customize the Menu items available to particular users. This will be added though at some point in the near future. You can currently control their permission to perform those actions however via Policies that restrict activities by Context (i.e. User Group Access to Contexts).

Unfortunately, ManagerManager will have to be redeveloped for Revo as it features a completely new admin interface from the ground up. This new UI is heavily dependent on ExtJS and these features will likely need to be developed using ExtJS as an official MODx Core Extension project. As popular as the ManagerManager features have been, this project should be organized and launch as soon as possible. Anyone with interest in contributing to this project should proclaim their interest by following the process outlined here and indicating your interest in helping to develop a replacement for this functionality in Revo.
