So a few more weeks tick by, any news please?

I want my super-ditto now, not tomorrow, now dammit. >:( grin
We’d like someone to give us $10,000 to write it too! Any takers?

The cms would have to be far more professional for me to offer that kind of money, something like Wordpress perhaps wink
Well, this is productive and helpful guys. rolleyes There’s no reason for animosity. If you have something to contribute or something to ask that isn’t when is this or that gonna be provided to me for free, great. Otherwise, chill out and find something productive to do to help the project. We will announce availability. We’re working very hard to make Revolution a success from the foundation up and we’d love for you to help.

Now, Ditto is a problem because it provided a lot of functions that worked around limitations in the original MODx parser. It’s even more of a problem because a) there are very few component developers working on Revolution right now and b) it was apparently adopted by everyone to do everything (sigh). If no one else can make it work, then I will have to do it when I am able to; that’s the reality. If someone wants to donate a bunch of money to help make that happen sooner than later, then well, that’s all we’re trying to say.

Apologies if I caused offence, that really wasn’t my intention. I am very appreciative of everyone’s efforts as regards revolution and I was really just trying to be humorous.

Hey thanks for following up heimdall; much appreciated. We pour our hearts and soul and everything else plus a little more into this and share it with the world, so it’s easy to miss out on non-verbal cues. I think it was the frown that threw it all off. I wasn’t kidding about the $10K though. We’d really appreciate that. tongue

Heimdall, I understand perfectly; I’ve always had a "warped" sense of humor and usually manage to offend somebody at least once a week.

Ryan, I’m trying, but my financial adviser just gives me evil looks any time MODx comes into the conversation in any form. Hopefully the economy will pick up a bit soon tongue

I told Jay Gilmore that MODx needs to sell cups, caps, hats, shirts, pens, shoes, mouse pads and so on.
            With MODx logos and branding.

Believe me - a black mouse pad with MODx logo is worth 60 bucks!

You guys should go the way of linux and offer focussed and dedicated support for those willing to pay for it. I am sure there are more than enough big installations of MODx where people would be willing to sign up to support contracts.

Would you buy it though? (seriously)

If I could afford it and if my website was critical in terms of support/uptime/problem resolution etc then yes I most probably would, it would also help MODx to grow as a cms platform as spiky haired IT managers would feel far more comfortable moving to MODx.

A support option could be nice or just a way to get help with different items from time to time. It’s easier to sell a client on the idea of paying $1-200 to have their server tweaked to best run modx or stuff along those lines.

Oh, and I like the shirt idea... I don’t use mousepads, but if we had shirt offerings.... smiley smiley

Yes, I would happily pay someone a fair amount of money for them to check through my templates etc to make sure I’m not doing something dumb which could hurt my serps etc in terms of bad seo.
