    Just curious,

I checked out the old default UI for Revo manager (one currently used in the zip package download from the modxcms.com),
and the one used on the SVN... and this is probably a personal preference, but I like the old one better.

Will you include both manager templates in the beta release?

No. The beta release will include a cleaned up version of the new manager.

I certainly see some benefits to the newer version, but the old one has some nice features too: like tabs instead of accordion styled page elements for template variables, page settings and access permissions.
(Template variables are such a huge part of page editing, they just seem like they need their own separate section)
And I think I like the full frame side bar more than I like the floating module.
This is more of a perception maybe, but that floating side bar in the new version feels cramped and forced, like the chrome is a little too big and overbearing.
I also find it somewhat inconsistent that when you are editing a document, page settings suddenly show up in the floating side bar.
Conceptually that feels like a site-wide editing area.

The older version seems lighter and more friendly to me. The newer version is interesting, but is too stylized maybe?

Anyway, my comments are not meant to be heavy, just personal perceptions.
        I doubt everyone will agree.

I am interested to see what the cleaned up version looks like.

Thanks for all the hard work, it’s really paying off.

I also liked the tabs better since there was less scrolling and I dislike scrolling.

I also found the Page Settings panel popping up over the tree disorienting at first, but now that I’m used to it, I kind of like all the fields on the screen at the same time.

Nice input, and now that raises a question : is there a single place where we can post UI feedback so that they don’t get lost (getsatisfaction.com ?) ?

I think it’s key to the final result that suggestions don’t get lost...

              This thread should do nicely.

This may be an obvious, will get to it during clean up thing.

But if you have no components, maybe the drop down should have a "no components here yet" type of message?
