Error saving elements

Currently I am having trouble saving elements.
it seems that anything of any length (1-2 screens of text) will cause a save error.
Now the strangest part of this is that I have one simple template that I was able to enter and create that works, but I am unable to duplicate it or enter the same text into a new one.
I have been able to create new elements, but only if they are small enough.
I am running alpha 6.. any ideas what might have changed to cause this?

Please state:

1. Apache/webserver version, OS
2. Browser, Browser Version and OS running Browser on
3. A sample .txt of the source code you had the problem occur on
4. Any errors in core/cache/logs/error.log
5. Any errors in the browser via the browser’s Error Console
6. Any other factors or error reporting that seem relevant

Also, a lot has been fixed since alpha-6; if possible, try SVN and see if the bug occurs there.

Also, make sure if you have mod_security enabled on your web server that you disable it via .htaccess for the connectors/ directory...

I also found a related issue.. I am unable to create new resources (webpages) I get the creation page, but the save button does nothing. I can however duplicate the one and only page I was able to make (before the problems) and alter it in whatever way I wish.
