Have you considered switching from tiny MCE for a more lightweight solution?

No, but tinymce is very good option, i’m accustomed to TinyMCE and my clients as well wink

The problem isn’t TinyMCE, as much as getting the Revo manager to be able to have a quick, simple and easy way of handling generically any RTE. A lot of RTEs employ helper functions to send their data into forms, and finding a simple way for them to generically work is quite difficult.

Currently the Revo manager employs its own "hook" functions, and the TinyMCE package has been configured with that hook, but has not been tested across browsers.

Then you could prepare it and get it ready. wink

As I described above, on my LAMP config revolution doesn’t work now, so i have to start vmware and test it there and that it’s not so good

It may be my lack of knowledge, but i’ve stumbled upon a very lightweight and easily customizable RTE made with jQuery.
I’ve not checked if the generated markup cause problems with modx, but atm it’ seems to work seemlessly on front end with FDM.

I still testing it, and will probably use it on front end with few options for the blog section of my new website.
