    Hi
I have 2 questions I don’t know if I am doing something wrong or it is an error...

    1. When I try to install any Package in Package Managment everything is working just fine - After installation I see Successfully installed - package, then I click OK but in the package table in the Installed column is "false".

    Example:
Attempting to install package with signature: wayfinder-2.1-beta2
    Package found...now preparing to install.
    Grabbing package workspace...
Workspace environment initiated, now installing package...
    Successfully installed package wayfinder-2.1-beta2

And in the Packages table is:

wayfinder-2.1-beta2 - false - false - false - Default MODx workspacce - MODx Web Transport Facility - No

    2. In Alpha 6 release there is Recent Documents function in Home menu, but in the most recent release (4637) the menu is different (And I have problems with selecting anything - the rollover menu dissapears before I can select anything ... so I have to try it like 3 times before I can "catch" it) and I can’t find the Recent Documents function - so I have question where is it now - I hope it is still there, because I was hoping for function like this...

Could you file those as separate bugs on Jira via the "bugs and requests" link at the top of this page?

Be sure to indicate your OS and what browser/version you’re using.

Number one is almost certainly just a display bug if the installed package is working (remember, this is alpha software). wink

Both problems might go away if you used a different browser.

          I know the feeling. wink

When something doesn’t work properly in the Revolution Manager (Alpha or Beta), though, it’s not you. It’s not practical to test the Manager in every browser on every OS so we have to rely on users to report any problems.

          Thanks for contributing! smiley

So far, nobody reviewed those issues :/ Is it in bad category or why it is being ignored?

I’m afraid there’s a labor shortage and a backlog of reported issues. smiley

I’m using FF3 and IE7 on Vista Ultimate and I do see "false" for installed packages. This is a fairly low-priority problem, though, so it may be a while before it’s fixed. In fact, I reported it a while ago. It’s a good idea to browse the existing issues to make sure things haven’t been reported already.

I’m afraid I can’t confirm either of your other bugs. I see the "recent documents" tab and the menu works fine for me. Try clearing the site cache and your browser cache/cookies. Sometimes it clears up those kinds of problems. If that doesn’t work and the new revision doesn’t solve these problems for you, you probably have a bad download and need to delete all files, redo the checkout, and do a new build/setup.

It’s not unusual to get a corrupted or missing file in a project of this size.

We really appreciate your contributions and hope you continue to be involved. smiley

Fairly low-priority problem? I wouldn’t say so... I am not able to install any plugins - so things like Ditto or Wayfinder are not working - well and you can’t use MODx without those plugins - so for me it is a blocker...

Btw. where do you have the "recent documents" tab? Maybe I am just blind and don’t see it...

First, I don’t see the "recent documents" tab any more either. wink

As for the packages, if the console says "package successfully installed" as you reported above, it almost certainly installed fine. The fact that the installed column shows "false" instead of the installation date is just a display formatting problem. Look on the elements tab and you should see both Ditto and Wayfinder and if you click on them, you should see the code. If they are not working, it must be another problem.

If they don’t appear in the tree or there’s no code for them, report back but I’m pretty sure you’ll find they installed fine.

Note that in Revolution, uncached snippets are called with [[!snippetname]] (double brackets and only one !).

                    ...

And now you said "First, I don’t see the "recent documents" tab any more either" .. so I am a little bit confused now - so the "recent documents" menu was removed?

And you were right that the packages install - I was checking plugins directory instead of Snippets directory

Btw. I really hope that the final release will be faster than those releases, because the window "loading" is driving me crazy lipsrsealed
