Status of Revolution development?

Hi everyone, I am new to using MODx, but in reviewing both the latest stable and the new 0.9.7, it seems the 0.9.7 roadmap has the features I require for our implementation.

I know these questions have been asked before, but I still cant seem to find any published information on release schedule (beta, stable, etc.) for 0.9.7. Could someone shed some light on the release schedule?

Also - the contexts / mapping subdomains to diffferent site using same core is valuable. Can someone give a brief overview of steps involved to make that work?
