frustrated - template_err_locked

I just installed 0.9.7

I have NO templates installed in the front end. (using the manager) If I try to create a new template, I get the error message.... template_err_locked

What’s going on?

p.s., I also can’t select my TinyMice editor! Is that history?

Change the language to English, that’s the only one that is completed. TinyMCE needs to be installed separately as it’s an add-on. Don’t expect everything to work, it’s an alpha release. Please re-read the release note carefully, it explains the state of the release.

There is no content in the alpha. No elements (ie. snippets, templates etc.) or sample content. You need to install/create everything your self. This is also stated in the release note. See this thread for example for information about how to install the add-ons.

I am using English. I selected it from the start.. and that’s all that’s in files > setup > lang >english.php Apparently that isn’t complete either (despite everyone saying it is! )

So - how do I add a template? I copied and pasted one from a previous version, but I am getting the error... template_err_locked

I have selected Tools > Remove Locks, but I still get the error.

I understand this is Alpha software... so I am helping you test it!
