    Hi,

I have a menu structure like this:

    Level 1
    Level 2
    Level 3
    Level 3
    Level 3
    Level 3
    Level 2
    Level 2

Now when I’m on one of the Level 3 pages I would like to have links to the other Level 3 options on that page (this would be a separate navigation system in the footer of the page).
So basically I need the start id of this navigation (the navigation that shows the other Level 3 links) to be the page id of the Level 2 page that they fall beneath.
Is there a way of setting up the start id to do this? I know I could use ditto, but I want it to figure it out automatically without having to manually input the page id for Level 2.

    I hope this makes sense.

    Cheers

You could make a template for the level 3 documents, and it would have something like this in the footer:

      [[Wayfinder? &startId=`[*parent*]`]]

I often have lots of menus strewn all over the place, and typically what I do is to stick some items under a "dummy" root that’s not displayed in the menu, something like "Footer Menu Items" or whatever, and then I can have the same menu call for that spot in all templates.

I’m sure there are other ways to do this, too. Wayfinder is incredibly flexible.

      Cheers, Dave
