Hi, I understand there’re lots of tutrials and posts available on this issue but none of them I came across that could resolve my objective due to my lack of expertise in mod_rewrite for apache.

I am using MODx Revolution 2.0 (CMS for PHP) which have frinedly url feature. And if that’s enabled it works like below :

for www.example.com?index.php&id=1 friendly url is www.example.com/somepage
for www.example.com?index.php&id=5 friendly url is www.example.com/someotherpage
... and so on. For this MODx’s .htaccess (supplied by MODx) rule is

    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1

Now My Problem is: I have one page/content in the system/cms which takes some additional parameters like:

    www.example.com?index.php?id=17&productname=a-shoe-or-a-sock
AND I want the url to be like

    www.example.com/products/a-shoe-or-a-sock
Also, I need the modx’s firendly url to be working. Please note, I can not have a static subdirectory for other pages/content except for the page/content with id 17 which is "product".

Question is: What would be the rule(s) [in full please, like with the conditions as well] to achieve this ? Would be better if I could do it only by editing .htaccess file (not httpd.conf).

    Thanks in advance.
