Hey Guys,
I apologize if this is a silly question, but, I have been agonizing over finding a solution for this...
I recently built a website for a friend of mine, and then added a MODX blog to the site.
Now, he would like me to display the Blog Headlines on the front page of his regular website.
The only problem is that the front page of his website isn’t on MODX, so, how can I pull the blog headlines? Is there a way to pull the MODX Blog Titles feed into a regular html webpage?
Thanks in advance!
If it’s evo you could install a RSS extra ( search for it in the extras section ) and then use PHP to process that and output it onto the home page, however is the home page a .html document ?? If so then I don’t think you can as it would have to be a .php to process the PHP.
Looking at the site theres only a few pages other than the blog so it would be a lot easier to re create the main site within Modx
Yet another option would be to place an iframe into the html page, with src being a MODx page (with simple template)
Thanks guys!
Lots of good suggestions, I think I am going to port the front page of the website into MODX, that way he can make changes to the site. Cheers!
