How can I strip HTML tags from [*pagetitle*] ?

Hi MODxers A just have a (simple - I hope) question. I’d like to strip html tags from [*pagetitle*] so it just spits out plain text.

For example - currently I have a page with a pagetitle of "Anthony Jones:
Managing Director" (the
is in there for formatting reasons) and it’s outputting:

Anthony Jones:
Managing Director - Mozilla Firefox

What I’d like it to output is:

Anthony Jones: Managing Director - Mozilla Firefox

Any idea how I can do this?? (I’ve tried [*pagetitle:notags*] but that didn’t work)

Have you installed PHx correctly?
I think you can also use the striptags custom modifier: http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/PHx/CustomModifiers#phx:striptags

You can do it using PHx or writing a custom plugin to do it.

Thank you both I reinstalled PHx and it’s working fine now so I must have configured it incorrectly.

<title>[*pagetitle:notags*] - [(site_name)]</title> now renders any html code in the pagetitle as one line of text, which is perfect.
