    My package managers have stopped working in revo versions 2.0.8 and 2.1.1

    In the error log i get lots of lines like this
    (ERROR @ ..../core/model/modx/rest/modrestclient.class.php : 194) PHP warning: simplexml_load_string() [<a href='function.simplexml-load-string'>function.simplexml-load-string</a>]: Entity: line 6: parser error : Opening and ending tag mismatch: hr line 5 and body

    (ERROR @ .../core/model/modx/rest/modrestclient.class.php : 194) PHP warning: simplexml_load_string() [<a href='function.simplexml-load-string'>function.simplexml-load-string</a>]:                                                                  ^

    With a last line:

    (ERROR @ /connectors/workspace/packages-rest.php) Could not connect to provider at: http://rest.modx.com/extras/

    Previously the package managers were working ok.

    In another post someone talks about service providers blocking "connections at port 80"

    But also when I try http://rest.modx.com/extras/ in a browser I get "502 Bad gateway"

    So is it a problem with my service provider or is http://rest.modx.com/extras/ experiencing problems?

    Cheers
    Mike

      My package manager is working again now so I can only presume that http://rest.modx.com/extras must have been temporarily unavailable.

        What is SOLVED I did not understand?
        My MODX download extras does.t work. No error messages, nothing.
        Just the same log's error:
        [2014-11-25 09:38:19] (ERROR @ /modx1-test/connectors/index.php) Could not connect to provider at: http://rest.modx.com/extras/

        WHY?
        I could't find any information about this error.
