Customize the Manager (Evolution)

Hi, I have recently read this (great) tutorial in the wiki: http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Customizing_the_Manager_Homepage#Adding_Links_using_Method_2

Now that I have this chunk "managerCode", does anyone know if I can add a custom snippet that upgrade the page when I add more resources?

For example, if I have this TreeMenu:


And in the "managerCode" I have 4 buttons like:


It would be nice to add the gallery resources automatically instead of manually as I am doing now.

You could use a plugin to re-write the chunk every time you save a resource; the plugin would check to make sure the resource’s parent was the "Media" resource.
