MODx receiving blank response from provider

I’ve been trying to download some extras for about 24 hours now, and keep getting this response. Usually as soon as I click on an option from the first screen you see once you choose to add extras. Occasionally, I will be able to actually get to the ’download’ screen and then get that error message. It also took me about 20 tries yesterday to actually get the new Revo downloaded... the DL speeds would simply drop off to nothing.

I’ve checked everything net-wise on my end, and all seems well. Am I missing something easy? Is there a problem? Please help!

I’m experiencing the exact same problem, except that i’m not able to download anything, always getting this error message when I try connecting to the extra packages...

One question: isn’t there any other way to download and install extra packages?

Edit: I’ve tried to download other packages like the person on the other similar topic talked about and it’s the same problem, some are reachable and some not.
Could this be an installation problem?

Yes of course there is !!!
You can go to http://modx.com/extras/?product=revolution, download the extras (zip files). Then put the zip files in your modx/core/packages directory (where modx is your installation folder). Then go to you Package Manager click on ’Add new Package’ then choose ’Search Locally for Packages’ MODx will find all the packages in the /core/packages directory. Once it’s done you have to install each package as usual...

This issue is still happening, there are multiple posts about it. Has anyone come up with a solution?

I imagine that the people who could fix it are busy with holiday stuff.
