Hi All,
Thought I would ask for some ideas on a task I’m looking into. Client wants to change the text of ’Template Variables’ tab on resource admin page.
Search through the database reveals only records related to events:
('OnTemplateVarBeforeSave', 1, 'Template Variables'),
('OnTemplateVarSave', 1, 'Template Variables'),
('OnTemplateVarBeforeRemove', 1, 'Template Variables')...
And multiple hits in the filesystem... Should I change this in a lexicon? -- should I duplicate the default lexicon and change it there? Any pointers on good ways to go about this would be greatly appreciated.

Just change it in the lexicon grid in the manager. Changes there will survive an upgrade of MODx.
Thanks for the direction! Unfortunately this isn’t quite having the desired effect. ’tmplVars’ changes the menu name in the left elements tree, but not in the content settings tabs at right. ’tmplVar’ does not seem to change it there either. Cleared the cache multiple times.
Maybe I’m just missing a step? Anybody know how to change the text for the ’Template Variables’ tab on content/template element pages? Screenshot attached. Thanks!

Best to wait for a code dev to respond - but to me this sounds like it’s worth a bug/improve report in Jira.

can’t get any of the examples to work...

Me too. If I’m reading the docs right, it should be:
Action: core/resource-create
Name: modx-panel-resource-tv
Panel: modx-resource-tabs
Rule: Tab Title
Value: My Title
I can’t get it to work on resource-update either.
It could be that the docs are out-of-date.
The form customization is working for me just like BobRay has it (for both resource/create & resource/update). Are you running the latest version, 2.0.4-pl2?
